A native of New Jersey, Dr. Mercadante was the valedictorian of her high school class and went on to complete an accelerated combined college/ medical school program between Boston University and UMDNJ, New Jersey Medical School. She completed her residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. She has 13 years training and experience and through her practice in general medicine, Dr. Mercadante has continued her education and research and has developed a focus of interest in treatment of obesity. She has also completed a preceptorship in cosmetic laser skin treatment.
